In a few days we already have Easter. A beautiful festival that I look forward to every year. We usually celebrate together with the family, have brunch together and eat delicious cake. This year, of course, it has to be canceled due to the Corona Pandemic. As nice as our family tradition is, we don’t want to put anyone in danger by meeting, so for the first time we’re spending the festival just the two of us. My husband and I decided to bring some Easter vibes into our living room so that the currently somewhat clouded mood quickly disappears.
Paint Easter eggs with coffee ink from IDEE KAFFEE
What should not be missing at Easter? Easter eggs of course! And what creates a better mood than painting Easter eggs yourself? That’s why we had a large portion of scrambled eggs for breakfast so that we could spend the afternoon painting Easter eggs. If you scroll through Pinterest you can now find many beautiful ideas for painting Easter eggs that you really don’t need an art degree for. From sweet sayings like “Ei feel good” to geometric patterns, everything is now allowed. After a short search for inspiration, we decided to just paint more or less on it. The fun started with waffles for refreshments and an IDEE KAFFEE filter coffee to stimulate.
We used IDEE KAFFEE coffee ink to paint the eggs. A wonderful idea, because the ink not only exudes a pleasant coffee scent, but also gets its special coffee color through the addition of IDEE KAFFEE.
A little anecdote about IDEE KAFFEE
Anyone who has read the article carefully up to here will certainly have noticed the IDEE KAFFEE brand. For me, IDEE KAFFEE is not just any delicious coffee brand, but my absolute favorite coffee! For more than 5 years, we have only had IDEE KAFFEE filter coffee at home. I became aware of IDEE KAFFEE after I was given the mild coffee at a former job. The taste is pleasantly mild and is therefore well tolerated even after more than one, two or even three cups. IDEE KAFFEE still has the full caffeine content and consists of 100% Arabica beans. For me, there are no alternatives to this combination of special mildness and 100% caffeine.
Another argument in favor of IDEE KAFFEE is the Honduras Education Life Project, HELP for short, because the project improves the educational conditions of coffee farmers in Honduras, among other things.
So I can only recommend everyone to try the mild, but still stimulating coffee from IDEE KAFFEE for yourself and let yourself be convinced!
Latte macchiato cake in a glass for two
After the dining table was decorated for Easter, we wanted to try a little recipe. Because eating cake with the family has to be cancelled, a whole cake for two people is a bit much. That’s why a cake in a glass is an excellent choice! And since I’ve always been the practical type when it comes to cooking and baking, it has to be a simple recipe.
For four cakes in a glass you need the following ingredients:
- 2 cups of yogurt
- 2 cups of sugar
- 6 cups of flour
- 1 cup of oil
- 2 eggs
- A heaping teaspoon of IDEE KAFFEE
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- A pinch of salt
You need two bowls in which you divide the ingredients in half – with the exception of the cocoa and the teaspoon of coffee, which you put completely in only one of the two bowls. The bowl with the cocoa and the coffee should form the bottom layer of your latte macchiato cake. Everything is stirred well. Then the dark batter is first filled into the glasses and then comes the light batter. Be sure to leave some space in the glass as the cake will rise quite a bit.
Please do not preheat the oven so that the glass does not accidentally jump in the oven. Bake at 150 degrees for about 35 minutes. The delicious and simple latte macciato glass cake for Easter at home is ready.
